Run arrival the way your event needs
Peak arrival is where an event gets judged. A desk that runs on printed lists and improvised rules builds a queue, and every exception (a VIP, a walk-up, a wrong name) pulls a staff member away from the line.
Put self-service kiosks where the crowd is and keep a staff kiosk for the exceptions. Each kiosk checks people in, handles walk-ups, corrections and signed documents where you allow them, and prints the badge from the same record.
What you can do with Kiosk Check-in
Find by scan or search
Attendees scan the code on their ticket or type their name or email. If there is no match, the kiosk shows your own message, such as where to find the help desk.
A kiosk for each line
Point each kiosk at all tickets, chosen tickets or people who gave a certain registration answer, so VIPs, exhibitors and general visitors each go to the right line.
Staff-only actions stay locked
Decide what each kiosk offers after check-in, from check-out and session picks to badge printing. Hide any of them or lock them behind a staff password, so self-service never does more than you intend.
Walk-ups, edits and session pick-up
Register someone on the spot on the tickets you allow, correct a name or company before the badge prints, and let attendees pick sessions at the kiosk when you turn it on.
Documents signed on arrival
Add a waiver or terms as a kiosk step, required or optional, for all or selected tickets. The signed document is stored on the registration, versioned, and the person can receive a copy by email.
Your look on the kiosk
Set the theme, home and finish screens and custom styling, in portrait or landscape, so every kiosk looks like part of your event, and turn on power saving for kiosks that stand idle between arrival peaks.
In practice
A conference runs four self-service kiosks at the main entrance for pre-registered attendees and one staff kiosk at a side desk. Attendees scan their code, sign the photo consent and collect a printed badge. Walk-ups and name corrections go to the staff kiosk, and on the self-service kiosks badge reprints sit behind the staff password. When the hall Wi-Fi drops mid-morning, the kiosks keep checking people in and printing badges, and everything syncs once it is back.
Availability and limits
Kiosk mode is on every plan and needs the kiosk switch turned on for the event; advanced kiosk mode is an Enterprise add-on.
Check-ins and badge prints draw on your organization's credits, and each plan has a default check-in allowance per event.
Document signing is a kiosk step, and each signed document is stored on the registration.

Kiosk Check-in questions
Yes. A self-service kiosk finds the person by scanning their ticket code or by name and email search, shows your check-in message and can print the badge. After check-in, you decide whether check-out, viewing the registration, session pick-up and badge printing are shown, hidden or locked behind a staff password.
Yes. Each kiosk is set up on its own, with its own audience: all tickets, a list of tickets, or people who answered a registration question a certain way. Per ticket type you also decide whether it can be sold at the staff kiosk, the self-service kiosk or both, so VIP and exhibitor tickets can stay with staff.
Yes, as a kiosk step. Set the document name and content, make it required or optional for all or selected tickets, and email the person a copy. The signed version is stored on their registration with its version number.
Check-in carries on. We send you a dedicated router, so your kiosks and printers run on a network of their own instead of the venue Wi-Fi. If even that goes down, kiosks keep checking people in and printing badges offline, and everything syncs as soon as the connection is back.
