Handle people who show up without pre-registering
Someone turns up who never registered, or a colleague came in their place. Without a walk-up flow, that person ends up on a paper list or a spreadsheet, gets a hand-written badge, and never appears in attendance, reports or the exhibitors' lead scans.
Walk-ups register on the kiosk on the tickets you have opened for onsite sale, answer the questions you ask, and are checked in and badged on the same record as everyone else. Nothing waits in a spreadsheet to be reconciled after the event.
What you can do with Walk-up Registration
Only the tickets you allow
Open walk-up registration for all tickets or a selected list. Per ticket type, decide where it can be sold: the public registration page, the staff kiosk, the self-serve kiosk, or any combination.
Self-serve or staff kiosk
Let attendees register themselves at a self-serve kiosk, or keep walk-ups with staff at a staff kiosk where tickets are issued and details checked before anything prints.
The questions you need
Choose which registration questions and profile fields a walk-up sees at the kiosk and which are required, so you capture what you need without slowing the line.
Edit, check in, print
Staff correct a name, company or job title, check the person in, preview the badge and print it. The walk-up lands in the guest list with the same check-in history as everyone else.
Counted with everyone else
Walk-ups appear in the dashboard's registrations and check-ins and in reports, and exhibitors can scan their badge for leads just as they would for anyone who registered weeks ahead.
In practice
At a regional chamber breakfast, a member brings a guest who never registered. The guest registers on the staff kiosk on the Guest ticket, which is open only for kiosk sale, answers the dietary question and gets a printed badge. The guest is counted in check-ins, and the sponsor's lead capture app reads their badge like any other.
Availability and limits
Walk-up registration runs inside kiosk mode, on every plan, with the kiosk switch turned on for the event.
Only tickets you have opened for kiosk sale are offered. Talk to us before offering paid tickets at the kiosk; for a simple door, use a free walk-up ticket.
Walk-ups use your organization's credits like any other registration, and their check-ins count towards the event's check-in allowance.

Walk-up Registration questions
Yes. Walk-up registration can offer all tickets or only the ones you select, so a VIP ticket can stay off the kiosk entirely while a day pass is on sale at the door.
Plan paid walk-ups with us before the event. Ticket types can be offered at the staff kiosk, and we confirm how payment is taken onsite for your event during setup. For a simple door, offer a free walk-up ticket.
Yes. A walk-up is a registration like any other. It appears in the guest list with its check-in history, in the dashboard's registration and check-in counts, and in event check-in and attendance reports, and exhibitors can scan the badge with the lead capture app.
Staff edit the person's details at the kiosk before the badge prints, and the guest list lets you edit, resend the ticket email or transfer the ticket when your rules allow. A reprint is recorded as printed again on the registration.
