Vet free-ticket applicants without the email back-and-forth
Invite-only, member-only or capacity-limited free events fill up with registrations that someone then vets by hand, emailing rejections one at a time and hoping nobody slipped through.
Applicants on a free ticket answer the questions you chose and wait in a review queue, and only the people your team approves are registered.
What you can do with Ticket Approval & Screening
Approval before registration
Switch on approval for a free ticket type. Applicants see your message after applying, and nothing reaches the guest list until a reviewer says yes.
Your own application form
Choose which profile fields and custom questions appear on the application, so reviewers see the job title, company or membership detail they need to decide.
A reviewer queue
Work through pending, approved and rejected applications. Approve, reject, leave a message or move an applicant to a different ticket type, with an optional reviewer email and reviewer list.
Optional AI screening
With the AI add-on, write your criteria in plain language and AI suggests approve, reject or review needed for each application, with its reason in the queue. A person makes every final decision.
In practice
A product-launch evening is free but meant for customers only. Applicants give their company and role, AI flags competitors and students for review, and the marketing team approves the rest from the queue each morning.
Availability and limits
Approval works on free tickets (price 0) only.
AI screening needs the AI add-on. It suggests approve, reject or review needed and never approves anyone by itself.

Ticket Approval & Screening questions
With email-domain rules, invitations tied to specific tickets, or a registration page that lists only the tickets you choose; with the promo add-on, a code can also hide the other tickets once applied. The approval workflow itself is for free tickets with a price of zero.
After applying they see the message you wrote for that ticket. Approved applicants become registrations, and your registration email goes out as you have configured it. For rejected applicants, your reviewer can leave a message from the queue.
No. With the AI add-on, you write the criteria and AI labels each application approve, reject or review needed and shows its reason in the queue. A reviewer still clicks approve or reject. Nothing is decided without a person.
Yes. From the queue you can move an applicant to a different ticket type, for example from a general application to a press or speaker ticket, without asking them to apply again.
