Card checkout and tax that follow your rules
Collecting event payments outside the registration tool means separate payment links, tax worked out by hand and invoices that carry the wrong legal details.
Buyers pay by card in the same flow they register in, and every order carries the right tax rate. Set one rate for the event and override it wherever a ticket, session or item needs a different one.
What you can do with Online Payments & Tax
Stripe or Authorize.Net checkout
Take card payments as part of registration, in the event's currency, with each payment recorded on the buyer's order.
One event tax rate
Set the event's tax rate once, name it the way buyers expect, such as VAT or sales tax, and add the wording your invoices need.
Overrides per ticket and item
Give a ticket, session or extra item its own tax percentage when it differs from the event rate, for example a catering item taxed differently from the conference ticket.
Invoice details
Put your legal name, tax ID, address, email, website and invoice logo on the invoices Eventpack issues, so what the buyer receives matches what their finance team expects.
Tax inside the order
Subtotal, tax, discount and total are kept on each order and appear in orders reports, so finance reconciles from Eventpack rather than from the gateway alone.
In practice
A training company runs events in two countries. Each event sets its own currency and tax rate, the lunch item carries a different rate from the course ticket, and every invoice shows the company's legal name, tax ID and address.
Availability and limits
Card checkout and invoice details are part of the payment add-on (Enterprise in the default catalog).
Card checkout runs through Stripe or Authorize.Net.
The payment connection handles card payment collection only; processor fees cannot be passed on to the buyer.

Online Payments & Tax questions
Stripe or Authorize.Net. Card checkout runs as part of registration, and each payment is recorded on the order.
Yes. Set the event rate once, then let any ticket or extra item override the percentage. Sessions can carry a custom tax too, so a paid workshop and a dinner can be taxed differently from the main ticket.
Buyers pay exactly the ticket price you set at checkout, so build the card processor's fee into your ticket prices.
With tax switched on, partial refunds and some complimentary refunds are restricted, so plan your refunds before tax goes live. Every refund stays on the order next to the original tax and total, so finance sees both in the orders report.
